Many, if not all, of us are looking forward to the coming of Spring. The flowers, the warmer air, sunshine and playing outside again!!! Here are some fun yoga poses and games you can play with your little ones inside until Spring decides to poke it's head up from under the snow. When Spring DOES get here, try them outside too!
SPRING Pose: Just like a bed spring, our little ones can ~~bbbooiiiinnggg~~ around with a ton of stored up energy. Give your child (and you) permission to hop around the house all they want for as long as they want in spring pose. They will increase their heartbeats, increase oxygen intake and maybe be a little tired when done:)
Clock Pose: Stand tall in Mountain pose, strong and still, feet firmly planted, arms at side. Then stretch your arms out and move them like the hands on a clock. If your child is older, call out times and have them match the time with their arm positions. If they are little yogis, then anyway they want to move their arms is fine:)
Awake from Hibernation!!! Here are a few animals that will be waking from hibernation soon. Have fun making up your own poses to act like the sleeping AND waking up version of these animals:
Bears
Bats
Chipmunks
Frogs
Groundhogs
Snakes
Turtles
