One of the nicest things I see in my family yoga classes is a growth in grandparents, aunts, uncles and dads taking part in the yoga fun with their kids. It's not just a mommy me class! It's a YOU and me class. Classes are low key and designed to be fun for the whole family!

The next time you are having a very hectic and busy morning and need to rush your kiddos out the door, stop and think how you are dealing with the chaos. Do you yell at your kids to hurry up? Do you roughly put their jacket on and zip them up and herd them out the door with out so much as a smile? Ask yourself this question, how would you treat a good adult friend of yours in this situation? Maybe you would say..."We better get going, can I help you get your coat?" No matter what, we would most likely treat them with respect and patience. Our kids deserve this kind of effort on our part as well. We may be tired, we may fail, but we most definitely should keep trying to show our families we respect them! |
