For this Thanksgiving holiday, here are a few fun yoga poses to try at home.
TURKEY POSE: you and your kids can make up your own version of what you think this silly bird might look like. Just strut your stuff around the room and be proud of who you are. You can also use Hero Pose as a turkey pose. Sit on the floor with your legs bent out to the sides, knees pointing forward. This pose aids in digestion which is useful after a big meal!
TABLE POSE: Imagine you are setting a table for the big meal. From sitting, point toes forward and place hands behind you fingers forward. Now lift your middle and make your belly flat like a table. Works all those core muscles!
CHAIR POSE: All meals at a table need chairs! From standing, raise your arms straight up over your head and bend your knees to a high squat position. Hold for a few breaths.
